Each 1 oz Gold bar is individually sealed in a Rand Refinery tamper-evident case featuring a unique serial number along with the signature of the mint’s chief assayer certifying the Gold bar's content and purity.

The obverse features The Rand Refinery Logo with the purity and weight designation of "Au 999.9 1 OZ FINE GOLD" along with the individual serial number of the gold bar at the bottom (this is blurred out in the photo)  This number will match the printed "Certificate No" on the back of the card. The reverse then features an elephant silhouette repeated on a horizontal layout in a proof-like appearance. The the reverse of the assay card itself is where the "Certificate Number" unique serial number appears (this is blurred out in the photo).
